zBlock4.5RC1 and other CS:S updateszBlock is finally out in a OrangeBox version fixing all the stuff it use to and some new stuff. The team behind zBlock is still testing and debugging before a final 4.5 release, however you dont need to worry about this because our system will update zBlock automatically, and you only have to (re)boot your server when DSPanel is updated with a new version.
A lot of other updates has been released and here is a list of some of those we have added to DSPanel:
* ESLplugin 1.4.1
* PMA 3.3 Beta (update should be out this Friday)
* Metamod Source 1.8.3
* Mani admin 1.2v
* Sourcemod 1.3.4
* Gametech Warmod 3.0.2
* CSS DeathMatch 2.1.0.1 (OB patch)
* GunGame 1.0.9.4
* War3Source 1.1.4 Beta
We are down to just a few plugins missing OB support and we are currently tracking down new versions of those and researching new/better plugins as well.

EAC is now available.EasyAntiCheat, more commonly known as EAC, is now available here at DSRack. We are working on intergrating it into DSPanel, which should be completed with a few days.
Until then you can ask our support @ IRC to activate it on your serverport.
EAC is free on all our server and only needs to be activate when a league, cup or whatever requires it.

The shop has been updated.The new prices are now available in the shop, and there is an incredibly 50% off on some products!
Fx. a 32 slots Source FFA server has dropped from 600dkk to 329dkk a month.
We have also streamlined the shop and removed/upgraded unnecessary products, which means:
- All 11-12 slots branded CW servers are no longer available.
- All 11-12 slots branded CW servers have been upgraded to 15 slots, for free!
- All Tickrate 66 FFA-servers have been removed.
The primary reason, for the changes, is the misunderstanding of the difference in price on the 11-12 slots branded and 16 slots not-branded. It is NOT the numbers of slots, which make the price differ. When it’s branded we get a little PR, and most important, when you take care of the config of the server yourself we’ll can cut down expenses for support.

Birthday, and new prices at DSRack.Today is our birthday!
DSRack have now reached the 3. year, and as usual we will give some great gifts. :-D
We marks the 3. year by lowering the price on all of our products and, on top of that, we will extend the rental period of any server type by 50% purchased in May. This offer is only available if you buy 3, 6 or 12 months, which respectively becomes 4½, 9 and 18 months.
This will automatically happen after your purchase.
All customers, who have bought a server for 6 or 12 months in April, will receive a free extension of their server for respectively 1 or 2 month(s).
All customers who have bought a server the past week will individually receive a free extension of their rental period, which matches their purchase.
The shop will be updated tomorrow evening (Sunday, the 2/5-2010).

DDoS attack again DSRacks load balancerToday we were under a DDoS attack from serveral IPs from China. One of the most popular countries to attack from and blame for this kind of attack.
Between 19:00 and 20:00 CET, when our system was hit to most, a few might have had a minor drop in the tickrate/performance. The IPs are now blocked, the system is back on trace and we are working on methods to reduce the impact of this kind of an attack.
We apologize for any inconvenience.

DSRack LAN #1In an effort to give something back to the very community that has helped us to become the leading Gameserver provider in Scandinavia, we are launching a new project, DSRack LAN.
This is a bit of a "pregame" LAN, preparing us for an even bigger event a few months later on.
There's only room for a mere 250 people at a very low price, so you've got to grab those tickets fast!
There's an announcement with details up at DSRack's LAN site!
Updates and more information will be available at the LAN site as they become available.

Mumble 1.2.1 deployed, and changes to CS:S.There is a new update for mumble, version 1.2.1. This update is both server and client side, and we have updated our systems to the latest version.
A few customers have reported issues with the 1.2.0 version, all of these should be alleviated now.
If you turn your mumble server off and on again, it will be automatically updated to the latest version.
We hope this will resolve the few issues reported by a small margin of our customers.
In Counter-Strike:Source news we have deployed an update to the basefiles in an attempt to prevent the use of various exploits, that could be used to crash servers with. A few customers have reported being exposed to these malicious attacks.
We hope that this update have resolved these issues.

Christmas present for youWe can't let a year pass without giving you a DSRack christmas present. This time we've been a bit more creative than usual, where we just offer a solid discount - there are plenty opportunities to do just that after all.
This year the present is a complete rewrite of DSPanel, and we've now reached version 3.
As if that wasn't enough, this is also the beginning of the transition to our new design, which will be implemented on www.dsrack.com together with other improvements to the shop.
The new DSPanel is located at dspanel3.dsrack.com. It will work alongside version 2 for now, but we'll be shifting to the new one entirely in 2010. Between Christmas and new-years we'll be working on fixing any remaining bugs and compatibility issues in the various browsers available.
Do you want to contribute to making DSPanel work in your preferred browser, then please tell us about any errors/oversights so that we can fix them.
Please remember to include username, browsername and version number in your error report.
Thank you.
Finally, a very merry christmas to you from us at DSRack, may you have the best one yet!

Mumble 1.20DSRack is upgrading to mumble version 1.20.
To upgrade your server to the latest version, just go in to DSPanel -> Stop the server -> Start the server. DO NOT use the reboot button.
The feature list for the new version is much too expansive to repeat here, but luckily there's a fully documented feature list on mumble's own site: Download
You can download the new client for mumble directly here: Download (Windows version)
NOTE: It's absolutely required to have version 1.20 of the mumble client to use DSRack mumble servers once updated.
-- You cannot connect to a mumble v. 1.20 server with version 1.18 and older versions. --
We are currently working on a lot of wicked new features for DSPanel and mumble, and hopefully they will be launched before the year is out. There is certainly something to look forward to as a DSRack customer!
We will shortly be releasing a guide on how to utilize the new functions this latest version of mumble offers.
For now we recommend you check out mumble's own FAQ located here: Link
Enjoy.

Minor issue with a new server.We recently expanded our hosting capacity due to increased demand for our services. Unfortunately it was set to reboot itself once every hour, a left-over from our quality and stability testing routines.
This resulted in a few customers experiencing sudden a sudden shut-down of the server - with a manual reboot required to start it again.
All in all 46 servers had been started on the new server during the 24 hour period where the issue was in effect. (Obviously 46 servers were not running on the same server at once.) Only two customers sent us a report informing us of the issue however, so we assume the actual impact has been limited.
The problem arose on November the 25th, and was solved on the 26th. As reparations we are giving all servers that were started on the new server, an extra two days as compensation - and to apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.
We sincerely apologize if anyone has been unduly troubled by this oversight, and we hope an additional day of server-time can make up for it.
Only Counter-Strike 1.6 servers were affected by this issue.
If you have any questions you're most welcome to contact us via. IRC or by using the contact us form found on this site.

Ping issuesHi all,
I'm happy to report that we've succesfully moved to our new host location, and everything is set-up on our end.
What we are now waiting on are ISP's and other service providers to get things sorted out, so the current instability and ping-issues can be resolved.
Expect this to take 1-2 days. You will be compensated for any unexpected time lost, but DNS' have to update, along with ISP's, peering partners etc.
It will take a bit of time.
For others the change isn't noticeable at all, for others their ping has trippled because traffic is suddenly being sent through Germany instead.
Please remain patient, and everything will return to our normal high quality standards in short order.

Reg. our imminent hosting center changeDue to a failure from our current supplier, our old ip-range will not join us in the new set-up.
Due to this we are implementing a previously planned change immediately, instead of at a slower pace over time.
Those who, correctly, use dk3.dsrack.dk:PORT will notice no change. Places which use IP addresses only, will need to be updated. I.E.. various scripts, monitoring tools and server lists.
Immediately upon the switch-over to the new setup you can use dsrack.com:PORT - which we recommend everyone to make use of. Not to mention it's very easy to remember!
Despite of this failure having nothing to do with us, we have chosen to extend our one-day compensation to a full three days. The estimated downtime will remain the same, you just get an additional two days on your rental period.
This site will be down along with all other DSRack services.
See you on the other side!

DSRack is movingDue to our never-ending quest of improving our services for our customers, we will be moving to a new hosting centre on the 29th of September.
The move will commence at midnight, and is expected to end at 5AM. This will ensure that as few as possible of our customers are affected by the move - and to put icing on the cake we're giving everyone a free extra day on their server rental period.
We are moving to the Danish Internet Exchange, and we'll have more ISP's connected to our servers. This is to ensure improved peering particularly outside of the Danish borders.
This also provides you with the added security of knowing that even if one ISP crashes, we have two more to pull on.
Within a few weeks DSRack will be running on 4x1Gbit connections, three ISP's and one directly in to the Danish Internet Exchange. This will hopefully dramatically improve our already excellent ping times to our neighbouring countries.
To celebrate the move we've also scrapped the few remaining core 2 duo servers, and everything is now running on Quad Core Processors.
We hope our dear customers aren't affected too much by this scheduled downtime, and we look forward to many glorious years at our new hosting centre.

Website now available in EnglishToday we launched the site with English language support for the first time ever. This will make it easier for our non-Danish customers to purchase our excellent products, and find help in the FAQ, guides etc..
It's an ongoing process making sure we've translated everything at a level which reflects the quality of our products, if you find faults - please let us know!
DSRack.dk will default to Danish language, and DSRack.com to English. We have also added little flags at the top of the page, to allow you to switch more dynamically between languages.
The currency on the products page is still in Danish Kroner (dkk) for the moment, but we will be changing it to euro's as soon as possible to facilitate international customers. This should make the prices more transparent, and allow you to match us to our competitors more easily, and realize just how good our prices really are.
For now you can use Google as a currency converter. Simply typedkk in euro - and you'll get the price in Euro's. I.E google 50dkk in Euro.
