General:

Q: Where can I receive support?
A: You can either write support@dsrack.com or write your problem in our support channel: #DSRack.Support @ quakenet

Q: Can I get support on a BRANDED server?
A: Yes, if it concerns basic operations of the server. I.E. getting the server to run without problems. There is no support on configs, modules, plugins etc.

Q: How much time does it take to take delivery of a server?
A: When the payment is processed and confirmed by an admin the server will be activated. If you use homebanking/Bank-transfer we, in some cases, allow a screendump of the transfer window as proof of purchase. This is up to individual administrators to decide.

Q: How many server slots do you have free?
A: DSRack always takes care to have room for new and existing customers. I.E. we never run out of server space.

Q: What hardware configuration do the servers have?
A: The individual servers are running Intel Quad Core Processors and 4GB RAM. Hardware, however, is not as relevant as how many active gameservers each individual server is running. We always expand capacity well before we reach any capacity limit.

Q: Which internet connection are the servers on?
A: The servers are hooked up to a 1Gbit (1000 Mbit) connection.

Q: How to I add my own maps, cfgs etc.?
A: You use the available DSPanel WebFTP. You access the Web-FTP by pressing folder-icon next to the server you wish to upload a new map to.

Q: How do I make myself admin on my server?
A: Simply add your Steam ID's at the bottom of the adminusers.txt file. One (1) Steam ID per line, after which you activate your preferred admin module under your server profile. We currently offer AMXmodX for 1.6 and PMA, Warmod, Mani Admin and Sourcemod for source. We recommend sourcemod for FFA and PMA or Warmod for Clan-War source servers. Finally you must reboot the server for changes to take effect.

Q: I do not want my server any more, what do I do?
A: You do not have to do anything. The server will automatically shut down when you don't extend the rental period. You do not have to cancel your server or inform anyone about it.

Q: You may use your FFA server for clanwars, and apply a password. On the other hand you CAN NOT use your CW server as a Free For All server!

Q: Can I put the server password in the hostname, if it's a clan-war server?
A: No. If you do that, it is the same as using it as an FFA, and that violates our terms and conditions.

Q: Can I add whatever plugins and modifications to the server I want?
A: No. If you require a specific mod or plugin you must contact an administrator on our IRC channel. This limitation is in place to ensure the quality of our servers, so that no-one can negatively impact the servers of other customers.

Q: Can we send a request for sponsorship to you?
A: No. We seek out the people we want to sponsor. If you feel that we have overlooked you, then write an e-mail to spons@dsrack.dk. Please be advised, however, that we do not necessarily reply to requests.

Q: Can I extend my rental period?
A: Yes you can at any time extend your rental period. When you log in to your account, and select the server you wish to extend (under servers). From there you will be sent to the shop where you select the desired extension period.

Q: Do I get full FTP access?
A: No, there is not full FTP access because we offer an integrated Web FTP with DSPanel, wherin you can directly change your configs which provides more ease-of-use than manually downloading configs, making changes and re-uploading them via FTP.

Q: Does a DSRack server include a control interface?
A: Yes. We at DSRack have created our own control interface, which we refer to as "DSPanel". With DSPanel you can upload and change files, start and stop your servers and much, much more. We also offer a clever profile-system which empwers you to create and select different server configurations. You can, for example, create a specific FFA server profile which includes specific maps, configs and mods. If you need the server for a clanwar you simply change the profile to a clan-war profile, reboot and the server is ready to go.

Q: My CW server has shut itself down, why?
A: A CW server automatically closes after 20 minutes without activity. This is to ensure a high quality of service when the servers are needed and to keep the prices as low as possible. When you need your CW server again you have to start it in DSPanel, or use the supplied Quick-Start link, which can be used by anyone. See the bottom of your serverlist overview in DSPanel for more information on this subject.

Q: Can I receieve support from you, if I have purchased my server elsewhere?
A: No. We only provide support for our own products.

Q: What do I do if I experience lagg on my server?
A: Contact support when the problem occurs, or write down the exact time when it occured. We will do our very best to help you with any and all issues, but please follow the rules for receiving support! It is sometimes beneficial to disable VAC on your server, to test if VAC is at fault. Occasionally the VAC/Valve servers can cause problems we have no influence over. If you have broken the server yourself by using incorrect settings, a reinstall can resolve any issues resulting from this.

Q: Do I get a discount for forwarding customers to you?
A: Not currently, no. Eventually we plan on implementing a rebate system, where you can earn up points by forwarding new customers. We currently have no additional information about how it will work, or when it will be implemented.

Q: Can I disable VAC (Valve Anti Cheat) on my server?
A: Yes. You can, at any time, disable VAC in DSPanel under the profile for your server.

Q: I can't play, STEAM says: Error verifying STEAM UserID ticket?
A: This is a very common error, which can have several causes. We refer to this page at Steampowered.

Q: Does DSRack offer any materials to use for articles, press, media and other such uses?
A: We have a logo-pack available here which can be used freely. If you desire other sizes or a higher quality, you have to contact us.

Q: My problem is not listed here!
A: You can either contact support, using the current rules for support - or attempt a reinstall of your server. Read more at this page. You are always welcome to contact the support staff, who will be happy to assist you with any problems.





Betaling:

Q: Which payment options are available?
A: You can pay by credit card or bank transfer.

Q: Which credit cards can I pay with?
A: We currently accept VISA, VISA Electron and MasterCard.

Q: How much time does a bank-transfer payment take?
A: Usually 1-2 bank days, depending on which bank you have and what time of day you transferred the funds. We do not activate the server before payment has gone through.

Q: Is there a handling fee on payments?
A: At the moment purchases with credit cards are without handling fees, if this changes it will be clearly marked in the shop and this text will be updated.

Q: Which mods are available on the counter-strike servers?

Q: How many FPS do the servers have?
A: All DSRack Counter-Strike servers run at 500 FPS.

Q: Which Tickrate do the servers have?
A: All our servers run at 66 Tickrate which is the default tickrate for the new source engine.

Q: Can I use SourceTV on my server?
A: Yes you can always enable SourceTV on your server. Keep in mind that SourceTV runs at your server port +1 (If your server has port 30000, SourceTV runs at 30001!) You can also use "rcon status" or "rcon tv_status" to see the port for SourceTV.

Q: How do I enable SourceTV on my server?
A: Simply type "rcon tv" in console to activate srctv. Rcon TV also restarts on a new map so that srcTV is correctly enabled. This and all other settings can be seen and adapted in the cstrike/cfg/stv.cfg file. Notice: Do NOT add tv_ options in server.cfg, as it will cause conflicts with stv.cfg!

Q: Why is SourceTV not active on my server after a restart?
A: SrcTV has memory leaks, and thus utilizes more and more memory the longer it runs, which can affect the quality of the server, and even result in a server crash. Because of this srcTV is automatically removed from configs on server shut-down. You can easily start up srcTV with "rcon tv" when you need to record demos or stream the match.

Q: Which mods are available on the Counter-Strike:Source servers?
A: Mani-Admin-Plugin

and many more... We are currently upgradring all mods/plugins and will make a better overview of all the mods after upgradring them.

Q: CSSRPG does not save levels, or anything at all?
This is because some other plugin is interferring with the database for RPG. Mani_admin is one of the plugins that do this, so you cannot use mani together with RPG.

Q: Why is my banlist empty when I reboot my server?
A: This can occur when you lack "writeid" and "writeip" in your config file. A reinstall to standard DSRack settings will fix this issue. There is also a brilliant article on BAN handling at Steampowered.

Q: Why can't we join the same on-line server while on a LAN?
A: Because the server assumes you're the same person connecting twice. You need to make changes to your userconfig.cfg file locally to connect. You must have a different clientport, 27005 and 27006 for example. See Steampowered for detailed instructions.

Voice/Ventrilo/Mumble:

Q: Which voice services do you offer?
A: We offer Mumble voice servers.

Q: What is Mumble?
A: Mumble is a free open-source application like Ventrilo. The difference is that the delay is smaller in Mumble, which can be all-important for professional players or during LAN events. Furthermore, Mumble is cheaper than Ventrilo and it works on Windows, OS X & Linux. About Mumble.
